Biden has managed to create a crisis at the southern border in only 62 days. While agencies are “overwhelmed” according to Biden’s Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas nobody can be too surprised by the turn of events. Throughout Biden’s campaign, there were plenty of warning signs that if he won the country would be facing an immigration crisis. Thousands of immigrants hoped that Biden would be elected and reverse Trump’s policies which made it more difficult to enter the country and that is exactly what has happened. The Biden administration wants to claim it “inherited a broken system” from Trump and blame him for the crisis but that couldn’t be further from the truth, the warning signs pointing to the current crisis have been there and Biden simply chose to ignore them.
