Hunter Biden admitted during an interview with CBS that the laptop at the center of his scandal could belong to him. The President’s son then attempted to breathe life into an already debunked claim that Russian intelligence is behind the scandal.

Hunter was the center of a bombshell report from The New York Post that highlighted the Biden family’s corruption and Hunter’s connections to Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings. The laptop contained emails of a top executive with Burisma Holdings personally thanking Hunter Biden for setting up a meeting with his father, the former vice president. Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed he has never discussed his son’s overseas business dealings with him.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email read.

The email includes a note that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details.

Adam Schiff previously attempted to push the flimsy claim that the laptop is part of a “Russian disinformation campaign.” Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe fired back at Schiff saying his claims lack any evidence and claiming Schiff is attempting to lie to the American people in an effort to save Biden’s reputation.

Senior federal law enforcement officials have confirmed that the emails are “authentic.”
