Two new polls show that a majority of likely U.S. voters believe the Biden Administration’s prosecution of a political rival is reminiscent of a “Banana Republic.” Additionally, a majority of voters believe that Vice President Biden and his family have accepted bribes from foreign nationals to influence policy. House Republicans are conducting an investigation into these allegations.

The first survey, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, reveals that 58% of likely U.S. voters agree with Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy’s statement, likening the Biden Administration’s prosecution of a political rival to a “Banana Republic.” Within this majority, 46% strongly agree. Even unaffiliated voters show agreement, with 62% at least somewhat agreeing with the characterization. However, the sentiment is notably higher among Republican voters (78%) compared to Democrat voters (37%).

Another question in the same survey asked about the Justice Department’s indictment of former President Donald Trump on multiple felony counts, with 54% of likely U.S. voters, including 59% of unaffiliated voters, believing that the prosecution is bad for the country.

In a separate survey conducted by Convention of States Action-Trafalgar Group, a majority of voters expressed their belief that Vice President Biden and his family have accepted bribes from foreign officials. According to the poll, 53.3% of all voters and 50.7% of independent voters hold this belief, suggesting that the Biden family has influenced policy in Washington, D.C., through such means.

Conversely, 31.4% of voters believe the Bidens are innocent, and 23.5% of Democrats remain unsure. Interestingly, a majority of Democrats (65.2%) do not believe the Bidens took bribes, a sentiment shared by 31.4% of all voters, 29.8% of independents, and 4.8% of Republicans.
