The walls are closing in on the Deep State, who are reacting like vampires being dragged into the sunlight. The truth of their misdeeds going public is searing their flesh, and disgraced ex-FBI Director James Comey is taking to Twitter to praise the defenders of the Deep State and attack their opposition.
All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would. But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up. Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy.

James Comey has something of a persecution complex, as he tweeted in December a verse from the book of Amos, “But justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream”. Now, he’s persecuted, and somehow Republicans are McCarthy.
See, Comey was having his cake and eating it too: he had his friend Mueller working to avenge his hiring, a sweet book deal and darling status in the swamp. This memo threatens that, as suddenly Americans might see how bad he was at his job.
The better analog to McCarthy would be Democrats screaming over the last year that the President is a traitor who sold out to Russia, and their absurd assertion that Russians stole the election. James Comey wants the cachet of being the Democrats’ hatchet man while getting the sympathy of a martyr; the memo could ruin that.
