REPORT Trump’s Deportation Leader Stepping Down

Thomas Homan, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) who President Trump had tapped to lead the agency permanently, reportedly plans to retire in the coming months.

Trump tapped Homan to permanently lead the agency in November, but his nomination has been stalled in the Senate.

The agency’s arrests have risen sharply under Homan as part of the Trump administration’s push to crack down on illegal immigration.
