A Thursday tweet from President Donald Trump was reportedly sent at the request of Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).
Trump tweeted that those who benefitted from the now-revoked Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program had “nothing to worry about,” adding “No action!”
For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about – No action!

But shortly afterwards, journalists at a variety of outlets reported Pelosi and Trump spoke on the phone in the morning to request the tweet. While some wrote Pelosi called Trump, New York Timesreporter Maggie Haberman said Trump called Pelosi.

Trump’s acquiescence comes a day after the president shunned Republican leaders in Congress and sided with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) in negotiations over raising the debt ceiling.
