President Trump reassured Americans on Thursday that they are “very safe” despite North Korea’s advancing nuclearization program.
“People in this country will be very, very safe,” Trump said when asked about the country while returning from Florida onboard Air Force One on Thursday.
“I think that a lot of effort is going to be put into this,” he continued.
The president’s comments come over a week after North Korea announced it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb that it hopes to place on an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
