Reps. Raul Grijalva and Luis Gutierrez were arrested outside Trump Tower Tuesday afternoon after sitting in the street outside the building in Manhattan.
Reports from the scene indicated Grijalva, D-Ariz., and Gutierrez, D-Ill., were among multiple lawmakers who joined a crowd sitting in the street outside the building.
Rep. Adriano Espaillat, D-N.Y., was among the other federal lawmakers who joined in the protest. Police also arrested New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.
Trump was in Trump Tower on Tuesday afternoon after giving a 40-minute speech to the United Nations General Assembly earlier in the day.
