President Trump slammed NBC News as “Fake” on Wednesday after a report saying Secretary of State Rex Tillerson once called the president a “moron” and considered resigning.  

Tillerson himself also blasted the report, denying a rift and asserting his “commitment” to the administration. He said he never considered resigning. 

According to the NBC report, Tillerson had considered resigning over the summer amid disagreements with the White House.

The report said Tillerson  called Trump a “moron” this summer after a meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials. Vice President Pence reportedly got involved at the time to discuss ways to ease tensions.
