Former Trump staffers and sources currently involved in the Russia probe say they expect former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon to be interviewed as part of the investigation, according to a Politico report.

Several people told the news outlet that they would be surprised if Bannon is not called in as a witness.

Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intel Committee’s investigation, told Politico that Bannon will likely be called in when “appropriate.”

“I think it’ll be very important at an appropriate time to bring him before the committee,” Schiff said. “There are a whole range of issues we need to talk to him about.”
