The Senate on Tuesday evening confirmed President Trump’s pick for Fed Chairman, according to the Associated Press.

By a vote of 85-12 Mr. Powell was confirmed to be the 16th Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

The former lawyer and investment banker was a popular pick and has served on the department’s board of governors since 2012.
