Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) comes from big-government Republican stock in Alaska. She made headlines last year when her vote killed the Obamacare repeal for two big reasons: 1) she supports Obama’s Medicaid expansion and 2) she’s pro-choice and was against the defunding of Planned Parenthood in the bill. Her opposition to President Trump isn’t new, as she publicly called on candidate Trump to step down in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape during the 2016 campaign.
