Remember last week when Democrats were screaming about the partisan release of a memo that was damaging to the intelligence community? Forget that, they have their own memo to rebut the one written by Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) because they desperately need to change the subject. The punchline? Republicans voted unanimously to release their memo; Democrats fought Chairman Nunes, yet he wouldn’t play their games. 
 
“The administration stands ready to work with Congress to accommodate oversight requests consistent with applicable standards, including the need to protect intelligence sources and methods,” White House Press Secretary Sanders said of the Democratic memo. The White House and Republican members of Congress are willing to take whatever heat comes from the Democrat memo because their commitment to transparency is more authentic than their liberal counterparts.
 
On the other hand, Rep. Schiff (D-Calif.) has developed something of a reputation for being a leaker, prompting the President to tweet about him early on Monday. So, before getting angry at Republicans for acquiescing, remember that some liberal would leak it anyway, and it would look like Congress or the White House was blocking damaging information rather than slapping away the chihuahuas nipping at their ankles. If Dems are going to use their memo to attack President Trump, they better pack a lunch.
