According to Politico, Congressional leaders have reached a budget deal to keep the government funded for two years.
Senate leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has confirmed, along with the White House, that a deal has in fact been reached, and will increase spending on both defense and domestic programs over the next two years.
This is a major victory for Republicans and eliminated the threats of government shutdowns every few weeks.
