Romney even questioned his “temperament and suitability to be president,” in his March 2016 speech.
Trump, in turn, told Americans the former governor sought his endorsement four years prior during his failed run for president and later “choked like a dog” in 2012 against former President Barack Obama.
But since winning the election, Trump seems to have buried the hatchet, considering Romney for the position of secretary of state to the chagrin of some of his closest advisors, and now throwing his full backing behind Romney in his bid for a U.S. Senate seat from Utah.
.@MittRomney has announced he is running for the Senate from the wonderful State of Utah. He will make a great Senator and worthy successor to @OrrinHatch, and has my full support and endorsement!
