Democrat retread Terry McAuliffe thinks he can pull the same trick nationally that he did in Virginia. McAuliffe ran as a socially liberal, pro-business Clintonite, and thinks that formula will take down Trump, whose has associated with him in the past. Politico reports that his close aide is running a gubernatorial race in Ohio to bone up his experience for the 2020 run. McAwful, as Virginians call him, has the baggage of being a Clintonite in a party that is rapidly shifting to Hillary’s left, and will have to walk a tight-rope to keep the far-left from revolting.
