Obama mocked Romney for recognizing the Russian threat in 2012, around the time that he told Russian President Medvedev that he would “have more flexibility after the election”. They had invaded Georgia in 2008, and then Ukraine in 2014 on his watch. There’s a reason Russia was bold enough to try to hamper with our 2016 election: Obama projected the weakness that emboldened them.
