Rap star Kanye West on Wednesday praised President Trump in a tweet, calling him “dragon energy” and his brother.
You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

West and Trump have been friendly with each other before, famously meeting in Trump Tower after Trump won the presidential election in 2016.
“Just friends, just friends,” Trump told reporters after that meeting. “And, uh, he’s a good man. We’ve been friends for a long time.”
The then president-elect said the two talked about “life.”
