Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday accused Iran of hiding its nuclear weapons program, claiming that Tehran “brazenly lied” about the program after it signed the multination Iran nuclear deal.
“Iran lied big time. After signing the nuclear deal in 2015, Iran intensified its efforts to hide its secret nuclear files,” Netanyahu said to an audience in Tel Aviv.
“In 2017 Iran moved its nuclear weapons files to a highly secret location in Tehran,” he said. “Few Iranians knew where it was, very few, and also few Israelis,” he continued.
Netanyahu said Israeli intelligence has obtained 55,000 files on the progress of the program.
