It looks like the media gave Russia exactly what they wanted. Remember, the reason the Russians deployed trolls because they wanted to divide us and discredit our institutions. The media, being the partisans that they are, did so better than the Russians could have dreamed. The less we trust our elections and leaders, the more Russia can get by with. The media’s constant assault against President Trump keeps our eye off the ball, and in that, they are useful idiots, just like in the Soviet era.
