President Trump doesn’t put up a front. He’s the same man when the cameras are on, and when they are off; that makes him stand out in Washington, where politicians typically say one thing on camera and another when you can’t see them. The media won’t show you this, but through the magic of camera phones and the internet, you can get a rare glimpse of this phenomenon.
President Trump had just finished up a roundtable event in Bethpage, N.Y. where he met with the families of victims of the MS-13 gang; the same gang the media attacked the president for characterizing as “animals”, for their savage crimes. As the president prepared to depart, he noticed a line of local police officers who wanted to see him off. President Trump did not ignore them.

President Trump is real. He made it a point to thank police officers, who are on the front line fighting MS-13 every day. New York’s Long Island has some of the most violent and persistent MS-13 crimes in the country. The president doesn’t take that lightly, as he demonstrated last week when he consoled the family of slain NYPD officer Miosotis Familia at the White House.
President Trump has stood up for police officers ever since he took office, even as NFL players were kneeling during the national anthem to protest the police and trying to rally the public against them. He treats the police much better than his predecessor did, and they can notice the difference.
