President Trump was at his club in New Jersey over the weekend, meeting with his candidates for Supreme Court. But he took time out of his busy schedule to greet guest, and pop in on some unsuspecting wedding attendees.
According to The Daily Wire:
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump met with potential Supreme Court justices at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, narrowing down his short list to two potential candidates, with a nominee to be announced July 9. But in between meetings, Trump wandered through his hotel, greeting guests and even attending a wedding he wasn’t invited to.
The President reportedly shook hands and posed for photos with guests (who shouted, “we love you!”). He also took pictures with the bride and groom, Gerald Papa and Jenna Buchholtz, shook the groom’s hand, and gave the bride a hug and a kiss.
This is the second time the president has crashed a wedding at one of his own resorts (at least while he’s been president). He surprised guests at a wedding last year, also at his Bedminster golf club, and is reported to regularly “pop in” on events at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
It’s probably not much of a risk: if you’re having your wedding at a Trump property during his presidency, you’re probably a fan.
The bride and groom looked excited to meet the president as he walked off up the steps. That is one wedding story that will be hard to top.
