Speaking to Fox News on Sunday, Rep. Trey Gowdy made a hilarious comparison about former Trump adviser Carter Page. Page has been the subject of surveillance and wiretapping by the FBI, brought about by a questionable FISA warrant. That document was released on Saturday by the Justice Department.
Gowdy was brought on to discuss the details of it and compared Mr. Page to the bumbling detective Inspector Gadget.

According to Fox News:
Rep. Trey Gowdy said that Carter Page, the former campaign adviser to Donald Trump, was more bumbling detective than secret agent after the Justice Department on Saturday released a set of documents, once deemed top secret, relating to the wiretapping of Page.
“My take is that Carter Page is more like Inspector Gadget than Jason Bourne or James Bond,” Gowdy, R-S.C., said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”
While the documents were heavily redacted in places, the New York Times reported that visible portions of the documents show the FBI telling the intelligence court that Page “has been collaborating and conspiring with the Russian government.” The agency also told the court that “the FBI believes Page has been the subject of targeted recruitment by the Russian government.”
Page has denied being a Russian agent.
Inspector Gadget was a 1983 TV series which highlighted a bumbling detective that needed lots of help and luck to solve the cases he was working on. He had an endless amount of gadgets to solve crimes, but he let his own incompetency get in the way. His friends ended up helping solve the cases despite all of the gadgets he had to work with.
