President Trump did not mention his former attorney Michael Cohen at a rally on Tuesday night. The rally followed a guilty plea by Michael Cohen where he implicated the president for campaign finance violations. Trump, however, took to Twitter Wednesday morning to slam Cohen.
According to The Daily Wire:
On Tuesday, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer officially and dramatically “flipped” on him, pleading guilty to, among other charges, knowingly violating campaign finance law at the direction of a federal candidate (read Trump) by paying a total of $280,000 in “hush money” to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and porn star Stormy Daniels with the “principal purpose of influencing an election.”
After conspicuously not mentioning the bombshell guilty plea at a rally in West Virginia Tuesday night, Trump finally addressed the issue on Twitter Wednesday morning in true Trump style.

If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!

As Trump trolls his “fixer”-turned-archnemesis, Cohen is looking to raise some cash, his lawyer Lanny Davis launching a GoFundMe account Wednesday with the goal of raising $500,000 to cover his expenses while he courageously battles dark forces to finally “tell the truth about Donald Trump.”
Cohen’s crusade to “tell the truth” follows a headline-grabbing day in front of a judge in which he pleaded guilty to a total of eight charges: “five counts of tax evasion; one count of making false statements to a financial institution; one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporation contribution; and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate.”
Trump did speak to reporters on Tuesday and reminded them that neither outcome in regard to Manafort or Cohen points to Russian collusion.
