Lawsuit Against Trump Dropped

A lawsuit against President Trump by his former driver has been voluntarily withdrawn. It is unclear whether it was settled out of court, but Noel Cintron has withdrawn his lawsuit against the President for unpaid overtime.

According to The Hill:

President Trump’s longtime personal driver dropped a lawsuit against his former boss over alleged unpaid overtime, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

Noel Cintron voluntarily withdrew his complaint against the Trump Organization according to a court filing in federal court in Manhattan, Bloomberg reported. The filing did not specify whether the lawsuit was settled out of court.

Cintron, who worked as a driver for Trump for more than two decades, claimed in a lawsuit filed in July that he was forced to work “thousands” of hours in overtime and was not given a “meaningful raise” in more than 10 years.

In the lawsuit, Cintron claimed he worked 550 hours of overtime every year and was not paid time-and-a-half. He also claimed he was not paid for work on holidays and vacations, and that he did not receive accurate wage statements.

The Trump organization responded to the lawsuit by stating that the driver was paid “generously and in accordance with the law.”
