Former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos has been sentenced to jail for lying to the FBI.
According to Politico:
George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser whose loose talk overseas about Russians having “dirt” on Hillary Clinton set off a chain reaction that led to special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, was sentenced Friday to 14 days in jail for lying to the FBI during that inquiry.
Papadapoulos was also given 12 months of supervised release, and must perform 200 hours of community service and pay a fine of $9,500.
Papadopoulos is just another victim in the Mueller saga, although it is believed to be because of him that the Mueller probe started in the first place.
