On Tuesday night the Democrats took back control of the House of Representatives. This sets the stage for Pelosi to run for Speaker of the House again, and she got a major endorsement. President Trump issued his support for Pelosi in what looks like a hilarious troll move.

The Republicans lost control of the House on Election Day, not in a “blue wave” but in a solid defeat, nonetheless. So with Democrats set to take the reins in January 2019, Trump wants to give them a hand in governing.
“In all fairness, Nancy Pelosi deserves to be chosen Speaker of the House by the Democrats. If they give her a hard time, perhaps we will add some Republican votes. She has earned this great honor!” Trump wrote on Twitter as a crisp sunny day broke in Washington, D.C.

Pelosi, the 78-year-old Democrat from California who was House Speaker from 2007 until the GOP took control of the chamber in 2011, is poised to resume that powerful position — and she wants it.
President Trump looks to be banking on Pelosi obstructing legislation during the next two years which will greatly increase his chances at reelection in 2020.
