Hawley was able to defeat powerful incumbent Claire McCaskill in Missouri, this is one of Trumps biggest wins. Hawley was in a tight primary with Libertarian turned Republican Austin Peterson until trump granted him the endorsement, this pushed him far ahead and let him win the primary and the general.
