Reports are indicating that President Trump has chosen Vice President Mike Pence as his running mate for the 2020 presidential campaign.
According to The Daily Mail:
Vice President Mike Pence will be President Trump’s running mate in 2020, a senior official in his office confirmed to DailyMail.com on Tuesday.
Trump asked Pence publicly on Nov. 7 if he would be his number-two a second time.
The vice president was seen nodding his head, but Roll Call reported Monday that he never answered the question. The Capitol Hill newspaper also floated a list of seven potential replacements, including five women.
But Pence’s senior aide said that ‘yes – he accepted when the President asked him in the East Room,’ a statement that should end speculation.
Vice President Pence’s role has been expanding most notably meeting with Putin recently and famously staring the Russian President down.
