President Trump has announced via Twitter that David Bernhardt will be nominated to replace Ryan Zinke as Secretary of the interior.
I am pleased to announce that David Bernhardt, Acting Secretary of the Interior, will be nominated as Secretary of the Interior. David has done a fantastic job from the day he arrived, and we look forward to having his nomination officially confirmed!

Bernhardt has been acting Secretary since Zinke left the Department of the Interior embroiled in scandal. Bernhardt previously worked for the department while George W. Bush was president.
Bernhardt has also previously worked for a lobbying firm focusing on interior issues and his firm or he has sued the department 4 times.
