George Mason University hired Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh recently and a student group is now demanding that he be fired. The group also wants an apology to all “survivors.”
According to The Daily Mail:
George Mason University law students are demanding Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh be booted from the institution where he was hired as a distinguished visiting professor despite the misconduct allegations against him.
The 54-year-old Judge was hired by the Antonin Scalia Law School and will lead a study abroad class on the U.S. Constitution outside London in Runnymede, England this summer.
Following news of his hire, protesting students created the group ‘Mason for Survivors’ and launched a petition to ‘terminate and void all contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh’ at the Fairfax, Virginia university, garnering over 3,400 signatures as of Tuesday afternoon.
His hire was reported at the end of March by the undergraduate newspaper Fourth State, which mobilized survivors of sexual assault on campus to demand his termination.
Despite the demands, the school has issued a statement reaffirming their hiring of Kavanaugh. The school doesn’t seem to be caving to the demands of the outrage mob.
