Justice Bret Kavanaugh was attacked during his confirmation hearing for being an enemy of women. Now, he is getting praise from Ruth Bader Ginsburg for hiring an all-female law clerk staff.
According to The Daily Wire:
Feminists waged a scorched earth battle to keep Justice Brett Kavanaugh from sitting on the Supreme Court. Little did they know he would actually make history by dramatically increasing the number of female clerks serving on the court — a move that has earned praise from left-wing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
According to Fox News, the notoriously feminist justice praised Kavanaugh for his efforts to increase the female presence on the U.S. Supreme Court when delivering a speech before a conference of judges in New York.
“Justice Kavanaugh made history by bringing on board an all-female law clerk crew,” Ginsburg said. “Thanks to his selections, the court has this term, for the first time ever, more women than men serving as law clerks.”
…
Of course, the Left tried to use Justice Kavanaugh’s reputation for hiring women against him during the confirmation battle. The Huffington Post, for instance, interviewed a former Yale law student who said professors told her Kavanaugh hired women with a “certain look” upon her applying for one of his clerkships. In the end, she said nothing unusual happened during her interview and he treated her cordially, nor did she hear rumors of sexual impropriety on his part.
Kavanaugh will still draw criticism from the left but the praise from Ginsburg is something no one expected as he fought through an intense confirmation process.
