The Trump administration has wasted no time pushing back on Gordon Sondland’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee claiming that there was a quid pro quo between the White House and Ukraine.
Per the New York Post:
“Ambassador Sondland previously testified that the president told him directly that he was not interested in a quid pro quo,” the White House said in a statement, referring to his closed-door testimony last month. “He testified that President Trump repeatedly made it clear he wanted no quid pro quo.” [emphasis added]
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) made that very salient point earlier on Twitter:
Before sending that text, Ambassador Sondland had a phone call with the President.
Sondland asked President Trump “what do you want from Ukraine?”
The President said, “I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. I want Zelensky to do the right thing… to do what he ran on.” https://t.co/OHPUcli9Zz pic.twitter.com/HvkpxIgYwy

But Trump’s ambassador to the EU told House impeachment investigators Wednesday that he raised concerns about a “quid pro quo” that tied a White House visit for Ukraine’s president to investigations Trump wanted into Joe Biden and his son and the 2016 election.
He said he was acting on orders from Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s lawyer, who he said was acting at the direction of the commander-in-chief.
Sondland also said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo knew of the operation and approved it every step of the way.
Despite what the mainstream media would have the public believe, Sondland’s testimony is all conjecture and doesn’t explain his sudden change of heart.
Given that, no objective viewer can say he’s a credible witness.
Sondland’s testimony is a bombshell! The walls are closing in on Trump. This is his watergate moment.
This time he has gone too far.
It’s the beginning of the end.Just kidding!
Libs will say that all day but none of this is impeachable conduct and nothing will change
