President Trump addressed the nation and the world on Wednesday morning following an Iranian missile attack on US forces in Iraq on Tuesday night.

President Trump stated that Iran appeared to be standing down following the missile launch. This could mean that the strike was solely used to provide propaganda to the citizens of Iran that they responded to the United States.
The President discussed the attack that killed Qasem Soleimani calling him the world’s worst terrorist, claiming that the move saved countless lives moving forward.
President Trump expressed restraint in announcing there would be no new military response to Iranian aggression while also announcing that he would increase the maximum pressure campaign on Iran if they do not change their behavior.
This campaign would increase sanctions but will require the help of American allies to enforce the sanctions that will punish the tyrannical Iranian regime.
The President also stated that the cash sent to Iran by former President Obama paid for the missiles that attacked American forces on Tuesday night.
President Trump called for the allies and enemies to work together to keep Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons evidencing that he is willing to negotiate a new Iran nuclear deal. The preceded the President urging more action by NATO in order to assure peace and stability in the region.
