2. Ventura is “on-air talent” for Russian-owned TV channel RT America. He previously hosted a show on MSNBC. His son, Tyrel Ventura, also hosts a television show on RT America.

3. After retiring from professional wrestling, Ventura admitted to using anabolic steroids during his time as a professional wrestler. He retired from professional wrestling due to a blood clot in his lungs which may have been related to his steroid use.

4. Ventura served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1975. However, he never saw combat. He has been sued for “pretending” to be a Navy SEAL by a former SEAL who resides in San Diego.

5. Ventura has appeared in 15 films, including Batman & Robin, Major League II, and Demolition Man which starred Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes.
