President Trump gave a fiery speech at Mount Rushmore on Friday night where he defended the American “giants” depicted on the mountain and slammed left-wing totalitarianism that threatens America.

According to The Daily Wire:

Trump challenged the left-wing totalitarian impulse threatening schools, corporate board rooms, newsrooms, and the “American way of life” itself.

“There is a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. If you do not speak its language, perform its rituals, recite its mantras, and follow its commandments, then you will be censored, banished, blacklisted, persecuted, and punished,” said Trump.

“Make no mistake, this left-wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the American Revolution,” said Trump, who remarked that radicals were “determined to tear down every statue, symbol, and memory of our national heritage” to get the job done.

During the speech, Trump also offered an unapologetic defense of the presidents carved into Mount Rushmore, describing them as “American giants” whose “deeds unleashed the greatest leap in human advancement the world has ever known.”

Fox News also covered the speech citing Trump slamming the far left’s fascism:

Speaking after the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels roared overhead, President Trump ushered in the July 4th weekend Friday night at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota with a full-throated condemnation of “far-left fascism” and a defense of “Judeo-Christian principles.”

“This monument will never be desecrated,” Trump declared to cheers and applause. “These heroes will never be defaced. Their legacy will never, ever be destroyed. Their achievements will never be forgotten. And Mount Rushmore will stand forever as an eternal tribute to our forefathers and to our freedom.”

The president asserted that recent attacks on the nation’s monuments, alongside “cancel culture” and the rise of the Marxist ideology of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, were symptoms of a “left-wing cultural revolution” that was threatening to “overthrow the American Revolution.” BLM explicitly advocates the destruction of the “nuclear family structure,” which Trump said was in fact the “bedrock of American life.”

“We only kneel to Almighty God,” Trump remarked, in a clear shot at athletes who kneel in protest during the national anthem. “We will not be intimidated by bad, evil people. It will not happen.”
