Allison Jones Rushing
Another top contender to receive Trump’s SCOTUS nomination Rushing is a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Despite only being 38, Rushing has an extremely impressive resume boasting three notable clerkships under Judge David Sentille, Judge Neil Gorsuch, who later was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Trump and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. In 2007, she was also a summer law clerk for the Department of Justice. She was also made a partner with Williams and Connolly LLP, a top law firm that regularly deals with Supreme Court cases. Rushing also worked on Ulbright v. the United States, the case touched on the Fourth and Sixth Amendments.
