Joan Larsen

Before Trump appointed Larsen a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2017 she was a faculty member for the University of Michigan’s School of Law where she was also Special Counsel to the Dean, later receiving L. Hart Award for Excellence in Teaching. She later served two terms as Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. Larsen was also a law clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia and Honorable David Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
