A Trump administration official has filed a lawsuit against media outlet CNN alleging the network sought to slander him by purposefully publishing false statements about him. The $50 million lawsuit against CNN was filed by Kash Patel, the chief of staff to the Secretary of Defense, was filed in Virginia’s circuit court on Friday. CNN reporters Barbara Starr, Zachary Cohen, and Ryan Browne were among some named in the lawsuit.

The Daily Caller reports:

“CNN attacked Kash and published defamatory falsehoods about him because CNN was deeply invested in promoting the Russia collusion hoax and the fraudulent ‘dossier’ manufactured by Fusion GPS for the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee,” Steven Bliss, Patel’s attorney, wrote in the complaint, according to Fox News.

The complaint allegedly targets articles published between Nov. 24 and Dec. 4 against Patel that “contain a series of false and defamatory statements.”

The lawsuit also reportedly cited multiple articles that were considered to be defamatory, including one that allegedly said that the “Defense Department transition office … is led by a Trump loyalist connected to efforts to spread conspiracy theories about the President-elect.”

Patel is seeking presumed, actual, special and punitive damages stemming from the publication of the articles, according to Fox News, on top of a permanent injunction that would prevent CNN’s reporters from repeating the articles.

This is not the first time Patel has gone after the media in court. In 2019, Patel filed a defamation suit against Politico.

Helga, we have to hit them in their pocket book. That is the only way they will learn. I am sure they have insurance for slander. May be their insurance premium will at least go up. It is like Jim Biden, tell the lye enough times it becomes believable. True Americans must fight back. We cannot be afraid of civil discourse.

Not your namesake Rudolf. He was hung by the neck until dead. Funny how you have chosen such a sad last name associated with a psychopathic killer. No relation, but maybe kindred spirits?

CNN et al are worse than transmitters of rubbish. They are transmitters of Socialist/Communist propaganda disguised as news. Past propagandists such as Herr Goebbles, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot et al were identified as such and made no effort to hide what they were. Contrast that to CNN et al who present themselves as unbiased, straightforward reporters. When in reality they are as just as evil as propagandists of the past and I would argue are worse because they hide who they really are. CNN et al are the worst kind of internal enemy. Almost as evil as the Democrat Party.

Worse! The majority of the Russian people knew (know) that Pravda was nothing but a fish wrapper and a canary cage crap trapper. Some actually believe that CNN et al are honest and forthright. Propagandist? You bet your bottom dollar they are.

What happened with the Politico lawsuit? The propagandist media should not be protected. Their lies have supported the overthrow of our constitution and republic and they should be held as an accessory to what is coming.

Where is the FCC ? They have Specific Rules about Hoaxes. They are set forth at Section 73.1217 of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. & 72.1217. The rules Prohibit Broadcast licensees or permittees broadcasting false information. It also covers the Omission of Information. The Anti Trump Media are all guilty of Hoaxes and collectively Trashing Trump. They should be held accountable and have their Broadcasting Licenses revoked or at least suspended for a while.

Good for Mr. Patel. I hope you seriously walk away with the 50 mil you’re asking for. Don’t take a deal. Be strong, stand firm.
