How Trump’s Tweets Will be Available to the Public Again

Gage Skidmore Fickr

Former President Trump’s tweets will once again be available to the public. The National Archives and Records Administration says it is currently working on the best way to publish all of the former president’s banned tweets.

Townhall reports:

“NARA intends to provide public access to all captured and preserved Presidential Record social media, including any blocked or deleted Tweets that have been transferred to us,” a National Archives spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.

Twitter has been adamant, however, that the 45th president’s tweets will not reappear on the social media platform.

“Given that we permanently suspended @realDonaldTrump, the content from the account will not appear on Twitter as it did previously or as archived administration accounts do currently, regardless of how NARA decides to display the data it has preserved,” Twitter spokesperson Trenton Kennedy told Politico. “Administration accounts that are archived on the service are accounts that were not in violation of the Twitter Rules.”

NARA spokesperson James Pritchett said they’ve worked closely with the social media company for years to archive accounts from various presidential administrations but acknowledged it’s the platform’s right to decline to host an account, adding that NARA “preserves platform independent copies of social media records and is working to make that content available to the public.”

The NARA hasn’t given a definite timeline when the tweets will be made available.

Twitter should just allow President Trump to re-establish his account. By ‘banning’ him, they are restricting free speech. I do hope the Feds will finally determine that operations like Twitter, Facebook, and Google are, in fact, public utilities, and end up being treated as such.

I don’t have to boycott, monica — I never signed on! 🙂 Shame on them for banning anyone from their social media platform, never mind the President of the United States. And why did they do it? I never heard a word about them being the censors of free speech until President Trump came on the scene! Despicable people.

How Twitter can ban the man who was the “Leader of the Free World” and the President of the United States of America…is beyond me.
I think Twitter is getting too big for its britches and needs to be taken down a notch or two.
Time to call out the antitrust lawyers.

Face it! EVERY individual liberty and personal choice IS under attack by the $U.S. equivalent of the Chinese Communist  THE DEMOCRATIC PROGRESSIVES AND THEIR LUNATIC LEFTIST CONTROLLED MEDIA. And, YOU do not have to own a degree in AMERICAN GOVERNMENT to see that for yourself; ony a functioning brain , a set of eyes that SEE and ears that listen and actually HEAR! Twitter, Facebook, Google and all the rest have NO Constitutional right to squelch dissenting opinions under the first amendment simply because they do not approve of the dissent! I am a 76 year old Vietnam , 100% Dioxin disabled Vietnam veteran with a 54 year old degree in “American,”Government and cannot BELIEVE how UNAMERICAN at every level begining worh the courts and every legislative body and now; even the Presidency, contested as to legality and Rightfully so! Now the oaf sitting in that seat is claiming no amendent is permanent and that is so he can eradicate them ALL beginning with the first and second! Ever hear of U.N. Agenda 21, sedition or high treason? LOOK them all up: then be afraid, be very afraid and BE PREPARED!

“We may be the only telephone company, but we try not to act like it.”
Anyone remember that bit of advertisement? AT&T spent millions in buying commercial time, just before their monopoly was broken up by Congress and they were forced to relinquish their absolute strangle hold on the communications business.

Big Tech…. it is coming for you. Soon. It came for AT&T because they abused the Citizens and used abusive domination of power… and the Citizens said… “Enough”.. and energized Congress to act…

Oh Susan Kater, I disagree. Twitter’s ban of Trump will, in the end, irreversibly hurt them. If Trump becomes POTUS 47 in 2024 and the House & Senate are Red, I have no doubt that Twitter & FaceBook will lose their immunities and become nothing more than conventional media. I think MILLIONS will leave both of them (already happening). Platforms like Parler and whatever Trump launches will become the new free-speech social media platforms. I say the same about radicals like AOC – the more they talk, the more insane the Left sounds. I believe 85% of this country is middle-left or middle-right, and once the bulk of us wake up to their insanity, the socialist agenda will be squashed.
