Black Lives Matter released a statement about the protests that was almost immediately met with criticism and backlash from across the political spectrum. 

 

The organization basically blamed the US for all of Cuba’s problems. The organization has used the protests as an opportunity to condemn the United States for its “inhumane” treatment of the Cuban People.
