American Hostages 

Trump pointed out to Hannity that as many as 40,000 Americans were left behind in the Afghanistan withdrawal. These Americans may be used as hostages by the Taliban in the near future.

“We could have 40,000 Americans — not to mention others who helped us in Afghanistan — we could have as many as 40,000 American hostages”

Trump hammered Biden on his administration’s strategy for getting these Americans out. The Biden administration is relying heavily on Taliban goodwill to secure American citizens. Trump said in this interview that the Taliban were “very brutal and they don’t like to negotiate, and Biden put us in this position.”
