The Biden administration is a sinking ship and no matter how hard Jen Psaki tries to spin Biden’s latest disaster it’s just not working anymore. The currents crisis in Afghanistan has caused lawmakers and media pundits on both sides of the aisle to criticize Biden’s ability to lead the country. Now, his press secretary is trying to convince the media that Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal is actually a success story despite reports that Americans are “stranded” in the country and receiving unclear updates on how to leave.

The Daily Wire reports:

When asked about at least one example of a person who was fleeing Afghanistan that had ties to ISIS, Psaki claimed that the administration had a “stringent vetting process, which includes background checks.”

When confronted about people who are in Afghanistan, who are saying that they are “stranded,” Psaki solicited the media to forward her contact information of anyone who was in Afghanistan and having a hard time getting out.

Then Jen Psaki goes on to say that she would describe Biden’s Afghanistan evacuation as a “success.” She seems to have forgotten that minutes prior she noted that the Biden Administration did not even have an exact number of how many Americans and Afghan allies remain in the country which is now under Taliban rule.

“I would say that this is now on track to be the largest airlift in U.S. history,” Psaki said. “And that is bringing American citizens out. It is bringing our Afghan partners out. It is bringing allies out. So, no, I would not say that is anything but a success.”

However, the most egregious moment came when Psaki seemed to admit that it’s likely some American could be left behind in Afghanistan after Biden’s Aug. 31st deadline.
