The Supreme Court will not be hearing any cases about DC statehood this session. DC statehood was up for public debate not that long ago and because of this many thought that the Supreme Court would pick up a case related to the issue. In turning down the case the court pointed to a ruling made two decades ago that stated DC residents have no constitutional right to a vote in Congress.
