Los Angeles is one of America’s biggest cities and it, sadly, isn’t a safe place to walk around at night. The city was one of the first to defund the police amid the summer of rioting in 2020 but has now changed tunes after the massive crime surge throughout America.

The Los Angeles County Metro voted to bolster police funding. The vote was 12-0 with clear support for the measure, even Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti voted for the proposal despite his support of the defund the police movement.
