University Medical Center Denies Transplant to Unvaccinated Woman 

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center removed a 23-year-old woman from the kidney transplant list after it was determined that she was unvaccinated. 

The young woman has been on the transplant list since 2018 and has been on dialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant. The Vanderbilt University Medical Center has promised to permanently remove her from the transplant list if she does not get listed for a transplant at another hospital in the next six months. 

The woman who is now being denied a transplant was born with a rare kidney disease and received a transplant from her mother and father when she was a child, it has been 18 years since these transplants and now she needs a new kidney transplant as her body has started to reject her mother’s kidney. The woman did not receive the Covid-19 vaccine based on the advice she was given by her doctors and three separate nurses.
