GOP Doctors Caucus Stands Up To Biden on Fentanyl and Border Crisis

The GOP Doctors Caucus has begun pressuring the Biden Administration to address the growing crisis at the southern border and the surge in fentanyl related overdoses that it has caused. 

The GOP Doctors Caucus and Rep. Greg Murphy has pushed a letter to Secretary Mayorkas, the letter in part reads “It is clear to us as health care professionals and lawmakers that to manage the fentanyl drug crisis, our first priority must be to take control of our border.

Fentanyl related deaths have skyrocketed in the country and the President is doing very little to stop it and has even avoided addressing the problem. Many have been attributing the problem of drug overdose deaths to two issues; the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, and the decriminalization of hard drugs in some areas. While these two things are contributing to deaths, many of the drugs from these deaths can be traced back to the southern border.
