Radical Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren has tested positive for Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and having gotten the recent booster shot.
The Daily Wire reports:
“I regularly test for COVID & while I tested negative earlier this week, today I tested positive with a breakthrough case,” Warren claimed on Twitter. “Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted.”
Warren added, “As cases increase across the country, I urge everyone who has not already done so to get the vaccine and the booster as soon as possible – together, we can save lives.”
Sen. Warren wasn’t the only Democrat on capitol Hill to test positive for the virus. On Sunday, Senator Cory Booker also revealed he has the virus.
Per The Daily Wire:
“I learned today that I tested positive for COVID-19 after first feeling symptoms on Saturday. My symptoms are relatively mild. I’m beyond grateful to have received two doses of vaccine and, more recently, a booster – I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse,” Booker tweeted.
The positive Covid-19 tests come as the country grapples with the news of the new omicron variant of Covid-19.
NBC noted that while “it appears that the omicron variant of the coronavirus, believed to be a factor in the December wave, is more contagious and may increase the chances of breakthrough infections, vaccinated people generally seem to be experiencing symptoms no worse than when other variants broke through to inoculated patients.”
