Former President Trump and former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly were met with boos from crowds when they revealed they had gotten their Covid-19 booster shots.

The 45th President and former Fox News prime time star spent the past two weeks engages in something called the “History Tour” — a series of conversations in arenas across the nation. Last night during the tour’s final show in Dallas, both revealed that they had received the vaccine booster shot.
Trump appeared to signaled a dramatic position shift on vaccines moving forward.
“We saved tens of millions worldwide by creating the vaccine,” Trump said. “It would have been like the Spanish flu without it … We should take credit for it, and you play right into their hands [when you doubt the vaccine].” (Quote per Politico.)
Bill O’Reilly should be lauded for his asking a question that many in conservative media circles cower from for fear of offending or even losing, an audience that is virulently against the anti-virus inoculation. And kudos to the former president for not pussy-footing around in answering, and receiving the smattering of boos with some grace and laughter.

Why are people booing him? It is his right as an American to choose. Now if he had said he agrees with Brandon that Americans need to give up their rights to choose and MUST get vaccinated, then BOO.

President Trump is in that age range where he is more vulnerable to COVID and has less time on Earth to be affected by long term effects of the vaccines should there be any. His choice seems based on reason.
To paraphrase what you say, the issue is who has sovereignty over one’s decisions, oneself or the national government? Biden and Fauci say the national government. Most believers in the founding principles of the United States say oneself. President Trump’s choice does not answer that question either way.

I was at the event. I was located about midway in the audience near floor level. The “booing” was very limited and Pres. trump immediately ask that it stop, Excellent Event. Attendance was good, considering date and time. Thank you Mr. President for telling it as it is.
Agree with the “right to choose” comment, but I think now people understand that the virus AND the vaccines have just been used as weapons against the populace. Trump is responsible for fast-tracking the vaccines and PPE manufacturing (ventilators, etc.) but he had to trust the pharmaceutical companies that they were acting in good faith to stop the virus. It looks like they were not, so booing of Trump’s remarks was more of a reaction to how people don’t trust big pharma, NOT how they feel about Trump.

I don’t think people were necessarily booing him for getting the jab, as much as they were disagreeing over forced vaxxes. Trump could have stated he’s older and more vulnerable, so the jab was prudent for him, but under his watch there would NEVER be a govt mandate for it. I am going to post a comment contrary to what everyone else is saying. The problem with Trump receiving a booster is that it reinforces Biden’s mandate and Fauci’s mindset. A lot of people do not want this shot, and whichever and however many are after that. Sure, it is his right to choose as an American, but it is a very stupid move, because the big Don himself may think it is okay to mandate the shots if he were to return as president, because he himself allegedly received one. This will absolutely piss off his fan base, and the people that are hopeful, yet awake will reject this man like an abomination. I am actually happy that people aren’t blinded by a blind Trump worship and actually stick to their values. The dissent is actually a good thing. It shows that people care about the country rather than a person who is an alleged symbol. If Trump were to turn on his original “pro-choice” mentality, then this whole thing could have been a ruse and controlled opposition throughout his entire presidency.
