Spare Parts 

One thing that is seldom thought of but should be considered is a set of spare parts for anything mechanical you intend to keep around. Having a bunch of spare water filters is cool and all, but what about the valve that goes with said water filter? Make sure you have yourself a spare charging handle or slide for your firearm, or own two of the same so that one can be cannibalized for parts if it breaks.
